Quick Answer

Zuma Miami on the Miami River is the highest-scoring waterfront room on the Q4 Index at 4.40 (shared rank 1). Seaspice scores 4.20 with a perfect 5.0 on space, reachable by boat; Casadonna scores 4.00 on the Edgewater bayfront; Watr at 1 Hotel scores 4.00 with rooftop ocean views. Unscored but covered here: Rusty Pelican, Smith & Wollensky, Bellini and more.

  • Zuma Miami leads. Shared rank 1 at 4.40, with 4.5 in cuisine, service, space and innovation.
  • Seaspice owns the space. Its 5.0 is one of two perfect space scores, and the Grand Dining Room seats 100.
  • Casadonna brings the bayfront. New in Q4 at 4.00, in the restored Miami Women’s Club building, with a terrace over Biscayne Bay.
  • Watr holds the sunset. Eighteen stories above South Beach, shared rank 15 and 4.00, with ocean views.

Miami restaurants with a view are easy to count. Rooms with a view and a kitchen worth the detour are not, and only four of the waterfront rooms in this guide carry a Q4 Index score.

This guide is a companion to the Mandale Miami Luxury Dining Index Q4 2026, which scores 24 rooms on five dimensions: cuisine, service, space, value and innovation, each from 0 to 5. Space covers the room itself, including its acoustics and the quality of the view or outdoor space, so it matters most here. The guide runs by water: river, bay, ocean. Four rooms are scored and quoted as published; eight are not, and carry no rank, no total and no ranking of their own.

The Waterfront Rooms on the Q4 Index

Four waterfront venues carry a Q4 score, on a scale where the Index average is 4.08 and the median 4.20. Only two rooms hold a perfect 5.0 space score, and one sits on the Miami River.

The view earns the reservation. The score decides whether the room is worth repeating.

Beyond the Index: On the River

The rooms in this section and the next two are not scored by the Q4 Index, so they carry no rank and no total here.

Bagatelle Miami River

Bagatelle Miami River sits at 311 NW S River Dr with a French Mediterranean menu inspired by St. Tropez. The outdoor riverfront deck has boat docking, and there is a private dining room and two bars. Dinner runs Wednesday to Saturday from 6pm, with brunch on Sunday. The signature menu belongs to Chef Rocco Seminara and Chef Marco Estrada.

Kiki on the River

Kiki on the River is at 450 NW North River Dr on the Miami River, a modern Greek room with a dock and a garden. Executive Chef Wladimir Arevalo sends out Kiki Chips, mezze and salt-crusted lavraki, with live DJs and dancing later on, and dock space is by reservation.

On the Bay

Five rooms face Biscayne Bay, none of them scored by the Index.

Amara at Paraiso: Edgewater

Amara at Paraiso sits at 3101 NE 7th Ave in Edgewater, with a Latin American menu and wood fire cooking under Chef Michael Schwartz, overlooking Biscayne Bay from a dining room and terrace. Grilled octopus and yellowfin tuna tiradito lead.

Klaw: Edgewater

Klaw shares that historic Miami Women’s Club building with Casadonna. The main dining room sits on the 4th floor with Biscayne Bay views through arched colonial windows, and a rooftop bar on the 6th floor, which it calls Edgewater’s only rooftop bar. The programs are king crab and beef, with live Norwegian king crab.

Rusty Pelican: Key Biscayne

Rusty Pelican sits at 3201 Rickenbacker Causeway in Key Biscayne, overlooking Biscayne Bay and the city skyline. The kitchen covers seafood, premium steaks and Latin-inspired flavors, with ballrooms and event spaces. The listed band is $31 to $50, smart casual.

Bellini: Coconut Grove

Bellini is on the top floor of the Mr. C Miami Coconut Grove hotel, a fourth-generation Cipriani restaurant from Maggio and Ignazio Cipriani. The kitchen turns out Italian classics such as carpaccio and baked tagliolini, and the terrace is perched above Biscayne Bay with panoramic views and sunsets. Our Coconut Grove dining guide covers the rest.

Bayshore Club: Coconut Grove

Bayshore Club is a casual waterfront room at 3391 Pan American Dr, in Regatta Harbour at Dinner Key in Coconut Grove, next to City Hall on the water. The setting is restored Pan Am-era hangars, the menu is contemporary American and seafood, and the listed band is $30 and under.

On the Ocean

One unscored room faces the Atlantic directly.

Smith & Wollensky: South Pointe Park

Smith & Wollensky Miami Beach sits at 1 Washington Avenue in South Pointe Park, Miami Beach, a USDA Prime steakhouse with an oceanview deck and skyline views. Its oceanview indoor and outdoor event spaces take 18 to 400+ guests. For the wider steakhouse field, see our guide to Miami’s luxury steakhouses.

The one ocean-view room in this guide with a Q4 score is Watr at 1 Hotel; for the beach’s other hotel rooms, see South Beach’s oceanfront hotel dining rooms.

None of the eight is scored by the Index, so each is listed on its own merits, with no total attached.

Arriving by Boat

A table on the water does not always mean a car trip. Seaspice is one of the few Index rooms reachable by boat. Casadonna offers dock and dine, Bagatelle Miami River keeps boat docking at its riverfront deck, and Kiki on the River holds dock space by reservation. For the charter market, see the Miami yacht circuit.

Romantic Restaurants in Miami with a View

Romance in Miami wants a horizon, and these rooms supply one in different registers. Casadonna’s terrace in Edgewater faces Biscayne Bay from the restored Miami Women’s Club building, which the Index places among the city’s most beautiful dining settings. Waterfront terrace tables cannot be requested online.

Watr at 1 Hotel gives the sunset, 18 stories above South Beach. Bellini’s terrace is perched above Biscayne Bay with panoramic views and sunsets. Klaw keeps the arched colonial windows on the 4th floor, over the bay. Rusty Pelican frames Biscayne Bay and the city skyline.

How to Choose a Waterfront Restaurant in Miami

For a bayfront Italian table, Casadonna. For the sunset on a first evening with an out-of-town guest, Watr at 1 Hotel. For the skyline, Rusty Pelican. For a party on the river, Kiki on the River. For Cipriani classics above the bay, Bellini. For a USDA Prime steak on the ocean, Smith & Wollensky. For a casual lunch on the water, Bayshore Club.
